In our Piedmont dental practice, we routinely take a 3 dimensional image of the implant site to thoroughly evaluate the area before the implant is placed. This allows for safer, easier, more comfortable, and more accurate placement of the implant.
Placing the dental implant is a minor surgical procedure done in a dental office setting. Once the implant is placed and healed, most patients do not even need to be numb when they receive their new porcelain teeth. It is very easy.
