Innovation never ceases to amaze me! As the concept of comfort in dentistry becomes more popular (after all, who doesn't want to be comfortable?!) inventors are meeting this demand with some excellent products and services.
One product recently developed by the Japanese is a robot, equipped with sensors that teaches dental students when they are getting too close to the nerve of a tooth. A human voice warns the dentist until the dentist backs off, then the voice speaks another message when all is okay. Quite an achievement! The robot is also equipped for training dentists in comfortable administration of anesthetic.
As the technology develops, who knows what's next--a robot that tells the dentist he has bad breath perhaps?!!!
